loved getting to do brooke’s wedding invitations! she is just so amazing and let me do whatever i wanted! her colors are these pretty shades of blue and her wedding is going to be in the backyard. perfect. you can see the engagement photos i took of this happy couple here. can’t wait for their wedding in just a few short weeks!

i just wanted to take a quick minute to tell a story behind one of the images here. this is a photo of… what? yes, a power box or whatever you call them. my aunt thinks i have a slight obsession with these… maybe i do. i took this photo when i was making an artist book of images for an interview i had last year. the criteria was to create something three dimensional that evokes the theme of taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. this is a constant thread in my work as i really do try to find the common, quiet moments and see them in a new light. so yes, this is a power box, but it is also a reminder that there is beauty in even the most simple finds. hope you see that in your life today.
