I loved shooting this little family and their new addition. Walter is such a handsome little boy!
My sister had a baby and y'all he's the sweetest! Love getting to take these photos!
Here's a little roundup of some of my favorite sessions from 2016! Looking forward to another year of smiling familes :).
Just taking a moment to brag on my talented dad today! He's going to be a part of West Austin Studio Tours this weekend and next (May 14th-15th and 21st-22nd). As a chemical engineer turned finance guy to a gifted woodworker my dad has started embracing his inner artist lately. I'm so proud of him! I love his work and am very lucky to get to commission a few pieces for my own home every once in a while ;).
His trunks are completely made by hand, old school style, with reclaimed wood. He creates dovetail joints using hand tools and the results are beautifully well made pieces with so much care put into each one.
He is #284 in the tour and you can get more info in the West Austin 2016 Catalog.
Come see his work!

Loved getting to know this senior and love her natural style!
Here's a collection of sweet mama moments from this past year! Happy Mother's day to all you mamas out there!
This shoot was filled with smirks from Ruby, squishy hugs and Ada who would not stop running around! Also, Nicole always wins at outfit choices for the girls ;). Love this family and love getting to take their pics!
Sweet little cousins with flowers and bows. Such a fun shoot!
I'm offering mini sessions just one day in March so check the date with your calendars and email me ASAP to book since spots will fill up fast. In celebration of spring, I will provide flower crowns for any gals who want them. Mini sessions are great for families, seniors, couples, individuals, college roommates or a group of friends!
30 minute session + disk of about 20-30 edited images
Saturday March 19th (rain date will be March 20th or April 2nd)
Location: Circle C Metropolitan Park
*This is SXSW weekend which as all Austinites know clogs, our traffic in the downtown area! Circle C's park is beautiful and tucked away from all the busyness. PLUS we will most likely have a ton of bluebonnets by then.
Email me today to book your spot!
Aren't my models the cutest? I may be a little partial since they are my nieces ;).
Love this little family! It was Elias' first birthday so we got some cute shots of him in the cutest overalls and a few family shots as well.
My husband and I took advantage of his work trip to San Francisco by making a long weekend after to visit Big Sur. I've always been attracted to Southern California's warm weather and beaches so this part of the state had never been something I explored. I am so glad we did! It's amazing and like nothing I've ever seen before. We stayed at a great Airbnb on an organic lemon tree farm, high up on the mountain with a view of the ocean-- dream city. Here are a few shots from the trip...
Sweet Nora's newborns from the end of this summer. I couldn't get over how beautiful she is!
I am excited to announce my print shop is live! I have wanted to do this for a while, but never found the right collection of photos. I finally rounded up some of my favorites from the lovely state of Texas. There are so many places dear to my heart in this state and I hope these photos reflect that. Here is a little about each of the photos in the series.

This images is from the Barton Creek Greenbelt where I literally grew up running barefoot, swimming every summer there was water, swinging from trees, saving fish, collecting rocks and so much more. I got engaged here, learned to love trail running, and it's a special spot for my mom and me :). I love when there is water but I also love the way the bleached creek bed looks even without the water.
The next three are from Leakey, Texas. Which is an oh so quaint little town on the Frio River. I've been going there every summer for as long as I can remember and I just love the absolute simplicity of it.
This photo was taken near the Warrenton fields where hundreds of antique vendors set up shop twice a year for a few wonderful weekends of junking, collecting and lots of kettle corn. I try to make this trip every chance I get and the spring weekend is just bursting with bluebonnets.
This winter field is from a beautiful bed and breakfast in Roundtop. I went for a sisterhood weekend with my sister and cousin and this was the view we just couldn't get over.
This cotton field is outside of New Braunfels and a few friends and I had a dreamy shoot that we put together after a rain. The light was just amazing.
Johnson City is on our drive on the way to the Frio River-- one of my favorite antique stores located there is a must stop. I love these string lights haphazardly strung between these gorgeous Texas oaks!
These river rocks from the Frio River are really one of my favorite things ever. I love the worn shapes and the bleached whites and greys and how they get hot in the sun. This is probably my favorite in the series.
My friend Kortni and I threw this little backyard happy hour a few weeks ago to help relaunch her flower business. I love Kortni's simple, natural and delightful style. Send me a message to get her contact info Austin brides and event planners. Her website is coming soon. She's the best!
I can't believe this beautiful, kind girl is so grown up! It's always crazy to see kids you babysat become adults. Loved loved catching up with Haley!
I said goodbye to shooting weddings this summer, but with some of the most beautiful couples. I was truly honored to capture Chelsea and Mark's small ceremony on a family ranch and then portraits at a vineyard in Fredericksburg. These two are so awesome!
From now on, I will be focusing on portraits and lifestyle shoots. I will happily recommend some wonderful wedding photographers that I know if you are looking!
Even though we only got to spend about 24 hours in this beautiful place I was grateful for every minute! Love spending this time with my family every year and love the beauty of this river.
...like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in due season and its leaf does not wither... Psalm 1
I'm no gardner but I'm trying to get better at growing and caring for green things. After our hot Texas summer I'm proud that I have a few patio plants not only somewhat thriving but blooming! I also kind of like the dusty green plants turn at the end of the summer as opposed to the brilliant green of spring.
This is a collection of sweet mother moments from the past few years. I've been honored to know and work with so many mamas and grandmothers that obviously love their kids so well. Capturing this love and joy is truly one of my favorite things about photography!
Well the bluebonnets in Texas are starting to fade but before they are completely gone I thought I'd share some sweet (and silly) shots from a session I did a few weeks ago. These precious cousins are adorable!
